Dental Assistant

Our Dental Assistant Program is 940 hours (460 classroom, 180 clinical, and 300 clinical externship in dental offices). This hands-on program prepares the student to serve as a chair side dental assistant in a dentist’s office. A Dental Assistant works in many types of dental practices such as General Dentistry, Oral Surgery, Endodontic, Orthodontic, Periodontal, and other specialty practices. The Dental Assistant Program will prepare the graduate to perform many tasks including: seating patients, instrument transfer, preparing dental materials, processing x-rays, appointment making, Etc. The Dental Assistant Program will also prepare the participant for x-ray certification, infection control certification, and CPR certification. The successful graduate will receive a certificate from the school, National Infection Control Certificate and National Radiography Certificate from DANB and CPR certification.
