Clinical Courses in Health Care:Dental Assistant
This program consists of 600 Hours (240 Didactic Hours and 240 Clinical Hours 120 Clinical Internship). This program prepares the student to serve as a dental assistant in a dentist’s office. Dental assistants perform many tasks including: seating and dismissing patients, instrument transfer, preparing dental materials, processing of x-rays, appointment making etc. Our graduates may sit for the Dental Assisting National Board examination to become a Certified Dental Assistant.***

***With 2 full-time years of continous experience or atleast 3,500 hours of combined full/part-time work experience earned over a continous 24-48 month period.

*Information for all courses:
A high school diploma or GED are required for most courses. All clinical course students are required to provide written documentation that within the past year they:
have had a physical exam and are in good health
have had a TB test or chest x-ray and
have current MMR and Chicken Pox vaccinations
