Clinical Courses in Health Care:

Medical Assistant**

This program consists of 715 hours including classroom, lab and clinical experience. Course work includes: Microsoft Office 2003 & Computer Basics, Medical Terminology, EKG, Pharmacology & Patient Assessment, Clinical Procedures, Phlebotomy, Medical Office Procedures, Third Party Billing, Introduction to Keyboarding, Typing, Career Preparation and skills, and an Internship. This program will train the student to assist with direct and supportive patient services in a variety of health care settings. This is a flexible open entry program. Contact the school for a personalized educational plan. Estimated completion for the program is 6-9months.

** This course is certified by the National Center for Compentency Testing(NCCT) and by the National Healthcareer Association(NHA) and our school is a certified testing site for the NHA National Certification Exam

*Information for all courses:
A high school diploma or GED are required for most courses. All clinical course students are required to provide written documentation that within the past year they:

have had a physical exam and are in good health

have had a TB test or chest x-ray and

have current MMR and Chicken Pox vaccinations
